Four circles contain illustrations of ingredients for curry

Cook & Chill

Case Study: Illustration
Project Overview
An illustration case study for the Daniel Santiagoe classic recipe book, The Curry's Cook Assistant. These recipes were originally shared in the newspaper before being compiled into a book for public use.
My Contributions
I illustrated circular designs for 40 of the published recipes. These illustrations were used on the various products like plates, towels, and the cook book.

Project Timeline
2 Months

The project started with the art directed to have a quill ink style in remembrance of the long history of Santiagoe's recipes. Each circle drawing is comprised of ingredients used in a specific recipe. Among the 100+ recipes, 40 drawings were illustrated for each significant recipe that appears in the book.

The brand mockup evolved into having elegant and sleek visuals to contrast and emphasize the illustrations. Additional items like plates, napkins, and aprons have minimalist styles. The layout design of the recipe book focused more on photography while the illustration were used as decorative elements.
